<div>Has anybody used a device, homemade or manufactured? And could you track the progress compared to manual stretching? <br/> <br/>I'm back on the restoration process, and shopping for doohickeys that accelerate the stretching. Previously, I've done well from just 'training' the existing skin; that is, I have enough slack that it will stay over the head in cool weather. But I need to stretch enough to cover an erection. Sometimes I keep a rock inside but it only shoves the head back, rather than stretching new skin. <br/> <br/>Tapes? Weights? Inserts? What worked for you? <div>I'm not really sure if I would actually want to go through a full restoration at the current time. I was just wondering how the manual technique is used. Maybe I could just get a bit of extra room for now so things aren't ridiculously tight. Where does the extra skin come from (above or below the scar)? Would attempts at restoration exacerbate the problem of scrotal skin being pulled onto the shaft? I am a bit hesitant to use tapes and stuff because I am worried about chemicals being absorbed through the skin. Is this concern groundless? There is a NORM group (National Organization of Restoring Men) that meets monthly in Berkeley, but to be honest, I've never felt particularly comfortable at those meetings, plus it's all the way out in Berkeley (not near public transportation). <br/> <br/>I am interested in the idea of getting together with other restorers in San Francisco on a regular basis. If the temperature is 70 or below, the skin stays closed by itself, and it helps to have the ring, but I know it's just a mask. I try to wear the ring as a symbol of survival and it starts a lot of conversation. And then I get an opportunity to introduce men (and women) to the concept of healing. Funding cuts in the late 70's meant that Gym class no longer encouraged showers, so awkward adolescent modesty prevaled.
